Madison to Fayette 345 kV Transmission Line Adjustment Project (South Section)

The Dayton Power and Light Company doing business as AES Ohio is proposing the Madison to Fayette 345 kilovolt (“kV”) Transmission Like Adjustment Project (South Section; the “Project”), located both within and south of the Village of Jeffersonville in Jeffersonville Township, within Fayette County, Ohio. The Project involves two adjustments to the approved Madison-Fayette 345 kV Transmission Line Project filed as Case No. 23-0066-EL-BLN.

The first adjustment, involving approximately 1.0-mile of the double circuit Madison-Fayette 345kV transmission line, is required due to a design change that resulted in the removal of a proposed 69kV underbuild. The removed 69kV circuit will be located on separate structures parallel to the Project.

The second adjustment involves approximately 0.2-miles of the double circuit Madison-Fayette 345kV transmission line and is needed to accommodate a minor design change to the transmission line connection into the proposed Fayette Substation. Fayette Substation is filed under separate OPSB case number 23-0067-EL-BLN.

This project is part of the upgrades to the electric system in this area needed to ensure continued reliable operations for new and existing customers while providing capacity to large load growth taking place in this developing area near Jeffersonville, Ohio.
