Use our bill calculator and guides to better understand the AES Ohio charges that make up your commercial electric bill.

Your AES Ohio bill consists of various tariffed riders and charges summarized into a few categories. The commercial bill calculator provides business customers a way to verify the accuracy of their bill.

The guides can help you calculate standard service offer prices. If you are a shopping customer, your rate number will be one of the following: 711, 741, 721, 731, 717, 727, 797, 737, 757,787, 767, 388, 788, 798, 768, 758.

You can use the guides above to help you understand your price to compare. However, because supply charges for shoppers vary by supplier, they are not represented in these guides.

The guides are offered in two formats: Microsoft Excel (XLS) and Adobe PDF. To use the Excel guide, simply input the four data points to the appropriate fields and the calculations will be done for you in the spreadsheet. If you do not have Microsoft Excel, the PDF shows you how to perform the calculations. Sample data is included.

Businesses that are on residential rates 111, 141 (summer) and 141 (winter) should use the residential bill calculation spreadsheet.

    How it works
To use the spreadsheet, you will need to enter information from your current AES Ohio bill. Here's a sample diagram showing where to find the information:
