AES Ohio E-Bill enrollment drawing for residential customers

Eligibility
This drawing (“Contest”) is open to AES Ohio customers who are legal residents of the United States and at least 18 years old at the time of entry. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law. Eligible customers that enroll in E-Bill hosted by AES Ohio between September 14, 2021 to October 15, 2021 (the “Contest Period”) will be automatically enrolled in the drawing. Eligible customers already enrolled in E-Bill are automatically enrolled in the drawing. Entrants are eligible to win one $100 payment toward their next monthly electric bill during the Contest Period. One entry per customer account is allowed. All customers may opt out of the drawing by sending an email message to aesohioemails@aes.com before October 15, 2021.
Eligible residents in the AES Ohio service area not enrolling in E-Bill during the Contest Period may enter by sending a 3"x 5" postcard with their full name, postal address (including: street, apartment/suite number, city, state and zip code), phone number and email address to:

All entries must be received by AES Ohio on or before October 15, 2021.
Any entry that is not in compliance with these Official Rules, as determined by AES Ohio in its sole discretion, will be disqualified. Neither AES Ohio nor their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, or other representatives, or agents will be responsible for any lost, late, illegible, or misdirected entries, or entries that were not received because of some technical or mechanical malfunction.
Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes consent to participate in the Contest in accordance with these Official Rules and for AES Ohio to use entrants name, address, and other details in administering the Contest and to publish entrant’s name if entrant is selected as a winner. If requested, winners must execute and return an affidavit of eligibility and release within three days of notification or the prize will be forfeited. Employees AES Ohio, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, immediate family members or those living in the same household of each are not eligible.
Winner selection
Winners are determined by a random drawing among all eligible entries each Friday during the Contest Period. For each 1,000 enrollments during the Contest Period, AES Ohio will add an additional drawing to occur each Friday. AES Ohio decisions are final on all matters relating to this offer. AES Ohio is notifying eligible customers via its website, email, and social media. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received each week. Winners will be notified via email and/or telephone.
Prize
AES Ohio will award each winner a monthly bill payment (valued at approximately $100 each). Winners must acknowledge the prize no later than October 15, 2021, or the prize will be forfeited.
General conditions
AES Ohio reserves the right to halt the Contest at any time for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to situations beyond its control, such as regulatory or other government action effecting program delivery, strikes, acts of God, etc. AES Ohio reserves the right to modify these rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Contest. AES Ohio reserves the right to cancel this Contest at any time without obligation or prior notice. By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of AES Ohio, which shall be final.
Release and Disputes: By participating in this Contest, entrants release and agree to hold harmless AES Ohio and their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising agents or other representatives or agents and such companies’ officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action and any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from, this Contest or acceptance, possession, receipt or use/misuse of the prize. Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in the Contest, entrants agree that (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of AES Ohio and their respective subcontractors in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the States of Ohio, as applicable, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Ohio. Venue with respect to any disputes shall be had in the state and federal courts of the State of Ohio, as applicable.
