Get paid for charging during off-peak hours. 

Off-Peak EV Charging Rewards puts you in the driver’s seat to manage your electric vehicle charging and supports the transition to cleaner energy use. By enrolling in AES Ohio’s Off-Peak Rewards program customers can earn up to $350 in one-time and recurring annual rewards.

Customers who participate in this program can earn a one-time enrollment incentive of $150, as well as annual rewards up to $100 for charging during off-peak hours.  

In addition to earning Off-Peak Rewards, you are helping AES Ohio reduce energy demand at peak times, which supports energy affordability and grid reliability for all. 

How the program works:

• Enroll your existing qualified Level 2 charger or electric vehicle in Off-Peak EV Charging Rewards and receive your one-time sign-up reward of $150.
• Charge your vehicle during off-peak hours.+
• Customers will receive $0.05/kWh reported by enrolled device during off-peak home charging sessions.++
• Rewards are limited to $100 in rewards annually for the first three years of the program.

Thank you for your interest in the AES Ohio Off-Peak Charging Rewards program. New enrollments in the program are currently paused. We expect to reopen in September 2026 with a limited number of enrollment spots. 

Customers who submit the interest form will be placed in a first-come, first-served notification queue and contacted in that order once enrollment opens. 

+ Level 2 charger is needed for program participants to accrue per kWh rewards.

++ Off-peak hours are defined as 8:00 PM-8:00 AM for the EV Charging Rewards Program.
