    Saving energy can be as easy as changing a light bulb.

    Replacing inefficient incandescent bulbs with energy efficient LED bulbs is probably the simplest way to lower energy costs. In fact, replacing all of the incandescent bulbs with LEDs in a typical home can save about $3,200 over the life of the LEDs. 

    • Switching to energy saving light bulbs is one of the simplest ways to reduce your energy usage.
    • Replace your old incandescent bulbs with efficient LEDs. Over its operating lifetime, one typical LED saves about $80.
    • When shopping for light bulbs, look for both lumens and watts. Lumens = brightnessWatts = energy used.
    • Use efficient bulbs in the rooms you use most – kitchen, bathroom and living room.
