We have a few extra tips to help you save energy at home.

Here are some other tips to help you keep cutting energy costs:

    • Keep the garage door closed, especially during the winter.
    • Unplug your iron when you have a little left to do – the residual heat will finish the job.
    • Bathroom fan vents do a great job of removing steam and moisture during a shower. They also do a great job of extracting heated and cooled air, which wastes energy. Be sure to turn off bathroom fans when not needed.
    • Use LED holiday lights. You can light a 6-foot tree 12 hours a day for 40 days with a cost of about only 27 cents compared to a cost of $10 for incandescent lights.
