AES Ohio is proposing the Sidney substation expansion project, located in the City of Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio.

This project will expand the existing 138 kilovolt (“kV”) bus arrangement to a full breaker ring configuration and install two new 138kV circuit breakers. Additionally, the new 13854 Sidney-Franklin 138kV transmission line will terminate into the new 138kV ring bus. This project is a part of the wider area improvements that will provide operational flexibility and capacity to the north portion of our service territory.
