The Tipp City Network Improvement Project involves constructing approximately 1.5 miles of new single circuit 69 kV transmission line connecting the existing AMP-Transmission (AMPT) owned Canal Substation to the existing AES-owned Miami Substation.

Why is this project needed?

AMPT requested a 2nd source of power at the AMPT-owned Canal Substation. In order to meet this need, AES is constructing a new 69 kV line to AMPT’s Canal Substation in Tipp City. The Project will improve service and reliability to the city of Tipp City.
