Support for local families experiencing financial difficulties

AES Ohio extends Gift of Power to assist eligible customers with past due balances

Dayton, OH – AES Ohio, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), is extending its Gift of Power program to provide emergency financial relief to customers facing past due balances and rising energy costs.

At AES Ohio we take pride in supporting our customers,” said Tom Raga, president of AES Ohio. “The Gift of Power fund allows us to quickly help families facing tough choices.”

The Gift of Power Program has now been extended until October 14, 2025, to ensure continued support for local families managing increasing household costs and ongoing financial stress.

The program offers immediate relief through a one-time pledge for customers who do not qualify for Ohio Energy Assistance programs. This extension is designed to assist additional customers in reducing their balances, establishing flexible payment plans, and accessing bill management resources. The Gift of Power delivers timely support to stabilize households and ease stress during challenging times.

Our partner, the Salvation Army, provides administration of the program making sure every dollar donated by AES Ohio, its employees and our customers reach those who need it most. Customers experiencing past due balances or difficulty paying their bill are encouraged to schedule an appointment by calling 937-528-5120 to apply for assistance and utilize this available resource.
