    AES Ohio is monitoring weather conditions and prepared to meet the increased demand this week as a heat advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service through Thursday.     AES and LineVision Partner on Grid Enhancing Technologies Study

    The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) and LineVision, Inc., today announced the launch of a joint project to assess how Grid Enhancing Technologies (GETs) may increase transmission capacity on the existing power grid. Through this pilot, the companies will gather data using Dynamic Line Ratings (DLR) to evaluate how LineVision can optimally integrate power from renewable energy sources.

    AES Ohio files settlement of its Electric Security Plan
    AES Ohio has filed a settlement of its Electric Security Plan (ESP) with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). If approved, this settlement would allow AES Ohio to implement a plan to invest in its network and strengthen reliability, protect customers from volatility in market-based energy prices, and promote economic growth and job creation. The settlement, signed by seventeen parties and PUCO’s staff, received broad support from residential, commercial, industrial and low-income customers as well as suppliers and market participants.

    With demand peaking, AES Ohio encourages conservation

    Today the PJM Interconnect, the electricity grid operator for 65 million people in 13 states and the District of Columbia, has requested its member utilities, including AES Ohio, for voluntary energy conservation. The call for conservation was prompted by pressure from high demand due to the winter weather brought on by near-zero temperatures.

    AES Ohio is asking its customers to voluntarily reduce their use of electricity now through 10:00 AM on December 25, 2022.
